About

Community Projects

Community Projects are organizations that have been designated as recipients of Community Projects/Congressionally-Directed grant funds. The legislation authorizes congressionally directed funds to carry out demonstration and pilot projects under section 169(c) of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), overseen by the Department’s Employment and Training Administration. Projects must align with the project description authorized by Congress to use grant funds for the direct employment and training services to individuals or for the development of workforce programs that serve a public benefit. Grant administration and program implementation guidance for these projects are described in the Training and Employment Guidance Letter (TEGL) for each grant program.

This is the Community Projects Performance Reporting Handbook is designed to provide Community Projects Grantees with all the resources and information that they need related to Quarterly Performance Reporting. This guide highlights essential areas of performance accountability and reporting requirements for all Community Projects grantees.
